Whale & Dolphin watching

The International Whaling Commission covers the Indian Ocean region which includes Sri Lanka. As a result, it has grown in popularity as a whale and dolphin-watching location. The migratory route between Africa and Australia runs directly off Point Dondra, making it a great spot to watch Sperm Whales and Blue Whales. Furthermore, Kalpitiya is an excellent site for seeing dolphins.
