There are excellent learning chances for witnessing animals, including wild Asian elephants and leopards that are native to the region. Even though Sri Lanka is known for having a large population of leopards, a safari will allow you to observe these creatures.

The International Whaling Commission covers the Indian Ocean region which includes Sri Lanka. As a result, it has grown in popularity as a whale and dolphin-watching location. The migratory route between Africa and Australia runs directly off Point Dondra, making it a great spot to watch Sperm Whales and Blue Whales. Furthermore, Kalpitiya is an excellent site for seeing dolphins.
